Hey WUS members - relatively new member here, but long time Breitling fan/collector. That said, I have some older pieces that have been solid over the years, but lately a lot of my newer pieces have been having issues. Am I just having a streak of bad luck, or are . That said, I have some older pieces that have been solid over the years, but lately a lot of my newer pieces have been having issues. Am I just having a streak of bad luck, or are others seeing quality issues too? In the past I have experienced issues like some others you'd dig up online - like a dim lcd, no backlight, no EOL indication, no batt flashing, etc. they do not have any inclination to help retain customer satisfaction, even though the response stated they value mine.
Breitling sources only premium-grade mechanical movements from respected Swiss movement manufacturers like ETA. Each watch movement then undergoes strict modification and fine-tuning in Breitling's own workshops to maximize reliability and performance. I would say my experience with Breitling has shown they are very reliable. (*) - Note that the Pluton is a quartz watch. A mechanical watch of any type should be treated a bit less harshly than I did. No mechanical watch will survive that kind of beating.
